On home soil now and the bite of reality

Firstly, thanks to those who caught up with Adam and I on Saturday evening for a few drinks and a good old chin wag. It was great to see the familiar faces of our friends once again. And of course the partying went well and truely into the late afternoon of Sunday. Glad to see somethings don't change.

The partying helped pass the time away over the weekend, which in a sense was just a continuation of what Adam and I had been doing for the past four weeks. But come Monday morning, and sitting at the bus stop, it all seemed unreal. The fun, the laughs, the new friends and old ones, the partying and all the excitement now seemed so far removed. How could four weeks go so quickly? But I will say that I have come home a very happy man. It was a holiday I needed and it was due to my best buddy Adam that it all happened the way it did. I couldn't have imagined sharing and experiencing what we did with anyone else. And of course it only further ignites that drive to get back once again. And with the many new friends that we have made, it means further abroad across North America we must next travel so that we may again catch up with these people, and along the way meet more.

To those many people that we met along the way I also say thank you for being part of our holiday experiences and now becoming part of our lives, be it in what ever form. Be it life long friends or just a memory of the short encounter and fun that we all had together.

Soon we hope to have additional pictures up on the site now that we have use of a reliable computer.
